Bar Zones

Bar as Concept Anchor

The bar zone is often the spatial protagonist in our restaurant concepts — a terracotta-toned counter that organises the room's diagonal axis. We design bar proportions, stool spacing, and back-bar shelving as visual compositions, not service engineering diagrams.

Every bar concept includes elevation sketches, material facing notes, and overhead pendant positioning relative to tap and prep zones as design placeholders.

Counter Height and Depth Studies

We test counter heights between 105 cm and 115 cm against stool concepts and standing lean zones. Depth studies balance bottle display, ice well placeholders, and guest-facing lean space. These are proportional explorations — not equipment specifications.

Bar zone concept packages from €2,100 EUR as dedicated deliverables or integrated hospitality suites.

Back-Bar Visual Logic

Back-bar concepts layer shelving rhythm, mirror placement, and accent lighting intent. We favour asymmetric bottle groupings and recessed niche lighting over uniform grid displays. Azure glazed tile bands often appear as cool counterpoints to warm counter surfaces.

Material references cross-link to our palette documents for cohesive specification.

Standing vs Seated Dynamics

Bar zones must conceptually accommodate both stool diners and standing aperitivo culture common in Málaga. We define lean rails, perch shelves, and circulation buffers as spatial elements — never as capacity calculations for revenue modelling.

Zone diagrams indicate movement flow around the bar island with colour-coded dwell intent.

Integration with Lighting

Bar concepts ship with companion lighting intent overlays: under-counter glow, shelf backlight concepts, and pendant drop specifications. See our lighting concepts page for methodology.
